How many buses go daily:  There are 7 - 8 buses per day depending on the season, starting at 7:30 till 17:30 with an additional bus at 6:25 in the summer months.
How long is the ride?: The distance between the Keflavík Airport and the Blue Lagoon is only about 20 km and usually takes about 20 minutes.  
Where do I get on the bus? Once you’ve arrived at the airport, go to the Service Desk of Airport Direct (in arrivals) and you will be directed to the shuttle bus stop .   
Can I bring luggage?: Absolutely! The buses are equipped with storage facilities in the underbelly for your luggage and bags.   
What time should I schedule the shuttle bus to the Blue Lagoon? Check your entrance ticket to the Blue Lagoon and be sure to schedule the bus so that you arrive on time for your entrance. .

Keflavík International Airport is the only international airport in Iceland and where all visitors and guests will arrive to the country. Sometimes it is referred to as the Reykjavík airport, which while technically is not the true name, it is the same and only airport that also services the capital city.

The VIP shuttle bus service is the ideal option for all travelers, but especially those traveling in smaller groups. The departures from the airport were chosen in order to best coordinate with many of the flights that are bringing travelers to Iceland, so that no one is ever waiting long for the bus.

There is plenty of room under the bus for your luggage and once you arrive, there is FREE luggage storage just before the entrance to the Blue Lagoon. You can leave your bags and suitcases in the storage area during your time in the lagoon, but be sure to pack or prepare a small bag to bring with you into the lagoon. 

The interior of the buses are also in excellent condition and offer luxurious seats, possibly much better than those that you were sitting in during your recent flight. There is also free WIFI on board, so you’ll have about 20 minutes to catch up on emails, send a few messages or post a few pictures on Facebook or Instagram of your first views out the windows of the bus.

Don’t miss out on the trip either. As this is your first chance to see Iceland, take advantage of the short ride to the Blue Lagoon by gazing out the window and getting lost in the beauty before you. You’ll see black lava fields, contrasting with green moss. It’s all an amazing path, directing you to the rich, blue waters of the Blue Lagoon.

Depending on the number of people you are traveling with, a taxi might be a good option as well. The taxi service from KEF to the Blue Lagoon is ideal for groups of 3 or more who are arriving at a time of day that might not coincide with the available shuttle bus times.
